How to get started

Start with what you have. Your property and or space. If you are trying to generate the funds for your investment, you can rent out your property for events, unused rooms and or space. There are apps similar to AIRBNB to so so. This is really important because you have to put down 25% cash if you are financing the property (mortgage).

House hack- buying a multi-unit property; living in one space and renting out the other. If done right, your space is paying for itself and you can make income.

You can also buy properties to flip or invest in tax liens. These are really good starting points to research.

Always remember one stream of income isn’t enough.

Why Educated Women Date “Hood” Men

This is a question that no one can seem to answer but I think that I am going to take a stab at it.

First of all, lets define hood men. According to the urban dictionary, a hood man is someone that was born in the hood who struggles through childhood to make it out of the hood, but never leaves. It’s in your blood. He is also humble and real. He’s learned to live with a smile despite the sadness inside. Please understand, the hood has no color!

With all of those qualities, some women start to feel sorry for them. From experience, I’ve noticed that the hood man loves harder, he takes care of his woman. However, sometimes that comes with a heavy price tag depending on his current lifestyle. There’s also the educated hood man. He is dangerous. He is in high demand on the market and very rare to come across, especially if he’s willing to settle down. I’ve dated both and of course I prefer the second option. I say that because he is goal driven to do better and he will also push you to do better. He is a natural born educated hustler. Tasty.

I say that to say this, some women date option A because they are searching for something. We are all searching for something at the end of the day however, some educated women thinks that because they have reached a certain credential in their lives that they can fix the world. Some people are so broken and damaged that they aren’t receptive of healing. I was that person. I was a cocky dater because I have a lot going for myself. Until I had that humbling experience. It’s not about me, it’s about the other person and if they are truly ready to be vulnerable. Most hood men haven’t healed, we want them to be but they have to be willing to do the work. Ladies, we have to help them. Let’s lend a hand to heal our men from past trauma. If we aren’t willing to do this, then you cannot want a long-term relationship with him and if he isn’t willing to do the work, then it’s not going to work.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed this post.

Tax Breaks for Small Business Owners

Happy Friday all,

Last night I had the honor of listening to a young woman discuss tax breaks for small business owners and I thought that it would make a great blog topic.

90% of tax deductions applies to business owners. There’s a lot of deductions that business owners should take advantage of. She made mention that she had a home in one state and an apartment in New Jersey that was used for business and the rent expense was a complete tax write-off. Very Impressive!

Tax Refund Defined-Money that you are receiving back for overpaying the government.

The government defines business expenses as the pursuit with the intent to make a profit. For example: networking events, traveling, promotion etc..

Examples of tax write-offs includes:

*Electronics (cell phones, laptop, desktop computer, iPad)

*mileage reimbursement (.54 per mile)

*home office expenses

*professional development

*meals provided for clients

*promotion (advertising expenses, business cards, photos)

*Rental fees (office, equipment, utilities, etc…

The IRS can audit tax dating back 3 years. For example its 2019 they can go back to 2016. With that being said, it’s imperative to keep track of your business expenses. You don’t have to be an accountant to do so. You can invest in software (also a tax- deduction) such as quick books http://www.quickbooks.com. If you don’t have time, hire an accountant.

Be sure to keep track of all of your expenses in case you are audited. This includes receipts, mileage sheets, whatever documentation that you have. Be sure to keep your personal finances and business dealings separate. You can do this by getting a bank account for your business.

My Recommendation: START A BUSINESS

Obtain an tax ID (EIN #) for your business. You can do that on the IRS.gov site and complete form SS-4. I can help you with that if you need it.

I hope that this was informative. This info is all free, all I ask is that you share this information with all small owners.

Until next time……..

Why I Got My Tubes Removed

As of 1/18/19, I’m officially fixed……

My friends and family had mixed feelings about it. But I don’t know anyone other than Kim Kardashian who had as many complications that I did both pregnancies and deliveries than myself. Needless to say, I made it through.

So…leading up to the surgery day I completed a lot of google searches to see what the recovery process entailed…. Not many things out there.

We will fix that now wont we?

Pre-plan- If you have children like I do, make arrangements for any child that isn’t old enough to care for themselves for a few days. My son is 11 (almost 12), daughter is 2 (she had to GO).

Grocery Shopping List-soups, pot pies, ginger ale, saltines, microwaveable dinners, pre-packaged food (comes in handy for a 11 -year old care taker)

Surgery day: Got there at 8:15am was out at 11:45 am-You cant leave until you pee….Procedure is 1 hour. I dressed myself and was coherent enough to get in the car myself. You’ll leave with pain meds (really didn’t need them). I slept all day. Discontinued my birth control pills per doctor’s order.

Day 2: Walk in a park…no pain that Ibuprofen couldn’t fix. You can resume light activities like driving (as long as your not taking pain meds).

Day 3: Laid in bed all day, watching tv. Pain was a 3.

Day 4: Got a terrible snow storm, stayed in. Pain a 3.

Day 5: Left house, drove to pick up my daughter. Period Began (UGHH). Heavier than normal.

Day 6: Here sharing my story with you!

So why did I do it? easy answer duhhh….I don’t want anymore kids and the risks of ovarian cancer decreases significantly. I hope you got all the answers you were looking for like I was .

Positive vibes

We have a serious problem within generation. There’s so much hate amongst women…. You never know when you will need somebody. Nine out of 10 it’s generally involving a man. We get so wrapped up in these Love and Hip Hop love stories and we lose ourselves. Promote love not hate. We have enough of that in the world. Let’s all win.

Let’s Build your Brand

So, where I’m from. Support is only given to people who associate with the “popular” crowd. That’s not me.

I want to get it and get it legitimately. I am talented. I will also assist with those who, like me want to build their brand and meet their goals. #dontgiveup #business #finance
